The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak, leading parliamentary delegation, will pay an official visit to Canada on November 24-27

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak, leading parliamentary delegation, will pay an official visit to Canada on November 24-27.

Agenda of the visit stipulates meeting of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak with the Governor General of Canada David Lloyd Johnston.   

Volodymyr Rybak will also conduct meetings in the Parliament of Canada – with the Speaker of the House of Commons Andrew Scheer, the Speaker of the Senate of Canada Noel Kinsella, the leader of official opposition in the Parliament of Canada, the New Democratic Party leader Thomas Mulcair.   

The Chairman of Ukrainian Parliament will also visit the meeting of the House of Commons of Canada.    

Within the framework of the official visit, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will meet with the mayor of Canada’s capital – Ottawa Jim Watson, the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Chris Alexander and the Minister of Employment and Social Development and Multiculturalism Jason Kenney.    

Volodymyr Rybak will communicate with the President of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress Paul Grod, the Executive Director of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress Taras Zalusky and other management of the Congress. The Chairman will participate in the ceremony of commemorating victims of Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine.   

Ukrainian parliamentary delegation will also participate in the flower laying ceremony to the T.H.Shevchenko monument and to the monument to Canadians who died during military actions.
