Participants
of the meeting, headed by the First Deputy Chairperson of the Committee Olena
Bondarenko, agreed with the suggestion of the State Committee for Television and
Radio Broadcasting regarding determining the bill’s provision according to which
licence for on-air broadcasting gives a licensee the right to broadcast using
radio frequency resource of Ukraine, and the right to maintenance
and operation of the technical means of
broadcasting ‘on condition of receiving permits for their operation
according to the Law ‘On Radio
Frequency Resource of Ukraine.’
Several
editorial corrections were discussed, and the terminology of the bill was
clarified.
The meeting
was attended by the representatives of the National Television and Radio
Broadcasting Council of Ukraine, the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting, the Association of owners and content providers, the Internet Association of Ukraine, as well as by
independent media-lawyers and representatives of entities of audiovisual
services market.
