The Committee on Entrepreneurship, Regulatory and Antimonopoly Policy upholds the draft law “On amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine re protection of tobacco products and alcoholic drinks consumers”

The bill (Reg. No. 3409) suggests: extend the list of restrictions on selling beer (except of non-alcoholic beer), alcoholic, low-alcohol drinks, table wines and tobacco products; increase the age of citizens allowed to sell the abovementioned goods; authorize local councils to introduce additional restrictions, within respective administrative territory, on places and time of selling beer (except of non-alcoholic beer), alcoholic, low-alcohol drinks, table wines and tobacco products; etc.       

The respective amendments are to be made to the Laws “On Consumer Rights Protection”, “On state regulation of production and turnover of ethyl, cognac and fruit, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products”, “On measures to prevent and reduce tobacco use and its harmful effects on human health.”
