The Committee on Industrial and Investment Policy recommends that the Parliament should adopt in the second reading and in entirety the draft law “On amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine re protection of investors’ rights”

The bill (Reg. No. 2013a) suggests introduce the mechanism of filing a petition by a participant (stockholder) of economic society to the economic court in the interest of economic society, if the official of the society inflicts harm to such a society by his/her action (inaction);   

impose full financial liability on the officials of a joint-stock company for the damage inflicted to the society when executing their duties; etc

It is stipulated supplement the Economic Code with article 29-1.

Committee members believe that adoption of the bill will increase the level of protection of rights and legal interests of investors.
