The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted as a basis the draft resolution “On Recommendations of the parliamentary hearings entitled “Current status, ways and prospects of reforms in the sphere of health care in Ukraine”

Under the document (Reg. No. 3308), the Verkhovna Rada shall strengthen parliamentary control over executive authorities and local self-government authorities as to ensuring constitutional guarantees of health care for citizens and the right to medical care and health services. It is also suggested accelerate the consideration of bills aimed at introducing the system of mandatory state medical insurance on Ukraine. 

The document includes a number of recommendations to the executive authorities, according to which the Government shall prepare the bill on health care institutions and medical care, considered by the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, national NGOs of medical workers and patients, by January 1, 2014 and submit it to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
