The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Chornobyl Aftermath Mitigation deems the draft law on amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine (re increase of payment for subsoil use) requires refinement

The bill (Reg. No. 3368) suggests increase basic statutory payments for subsoil use by 14,6-16 per cent.     

Committee members noted that the idea of bringing payment amount for subsoil use in line with actual business environment should be upheld. However, parliament members stressed that the suggested decision does not consider specific features of each mineral and does not have relevant financial and economic influence on the increase of payment volume.
