The Parties have discussed bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova, as well as cooperation between the parliaments of our countries within the Parliamentary Assembly of Eastern Partnership EURONEST.
They spoke also on the issues connected with participation of Ukraine and Moldova in the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius on November 28-29, this year.
In this connection, Hryhorii Nemyria wished success to Moldova on its way to the EU and expressed hope that the Association Agreement with Ukraine will be signed.
“EU requirements in this connection are clear and well-known. All the EU Council criteria, including the key one - the release of opposition leader Yu.Tymoshenko, should be fulfilled,” he stressed.
In his turn, Marian Lupu noted that initialling of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU will be an important step on the way to its signing in 2014.
“I hope that the next year, Moldova and Ukraine will strengthen their leadership positions within the policy of Eastern Partnership and will get closer to the EU,” he said.
