The Committee on Construction, Urban Development, Housing and Communal Services and Regional Policy recommends that the Verkhovna Rada should adopt as a basis the draft law “On amendments to several laws of Ukraine in the sphere of handling domestic waste”

      The bill (Reg. No. 2295) suggests resolve issues concerning the order of establishing and paying for the services for handling domestic waste, as well as the fee for recycling and burial of waste. The bill also stipulates define the powers of local self-government authorities, local state administrations and national commission that carries out state regulation in the sphere of housing and communal services, and also regulation of investment, tariff and other activities in the sphere of handling domestic waste.

       The respective changes should be made to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements and such laws: “On local self-government of Ukraine”, “On local state administrations”, “On housing and communal services”, “On waste”, “On licensing of certain types of economic activity”, etc.

       The members of the Committee upheld the bill.
