The Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Vitalii Kaliuzhyi met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova Valeriu Chiveri

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine Ion Stevile also participated in the meeting of the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Vitalii Kaliuzhyi with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova Valeriu Chiveri. 

Noting that the European vector of foreign policy is the key both for Ukraine and Moldova today, interlocutors discussed the issues and prospects of implementing the Euro-integrational course by the two countries. Particularly, Valeriu Chiveri informed that Moldova plans to initial the EU Association Agreement during the Vilnius Eastern Partnership Summit at the end of November, this year. 

The Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs emphasized that he deems the European direction to be the civilizational choice of Ukraine. He reassured his interlocutor that the Ukrainian leadership is determined to take all the possible measures to sign the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in Vilnius.   

Noting that the parliamentary dimension of cooperation plays an important role in the development of Ukrainian-Moldovan relations, Valeriu Chiveri reminded that Moldova is waiting for the visit of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak to Chisinau.
