The Chairman of the deputy's group on inter-parliamentary relations with the Republic of Indonesia Volodymyr Vecherko met with the Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia Sidarto Danusubroto in Jakarta

During the meeting, the perspectives of Ukraine-Indonesia inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed. 

The Deputies Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly and leaders of the parliamentary factions also attended the meeting.

“Ukraine is developing dynamically and after my recent visit to Kyiv I was able to make sure of it. We are interested in the development of cooperation with Ukraine and we see it as one of the key opportunities to strengthen our position in Europe in general,” claimed Sidarto Danusubroto.

He informed that following the results of the Indonesian delegation’s visit to Kyiv in September of this year, meeting of the regions were held where representatives of all 34 provinces were present.

“We are interested in developing joint investment projects and we want to involve representatives of Ukrainian business in their implementation. For our part, we are ready to help potential Ukrainian investors, on the local level as well,” stressed Sidarto Danusubroto.

In his turn, Volodymyr Vecherko informed about the opportunities of our country in those spheres that are prospective for cooperation with Indonesia. 

“Scientific and technical, as well as industrial potential of Ukraine is very high. Our enterprises that work in the sphere of agroindustrial complex, engineering, chemical production, metal industry and coal production have a lot to offer for mutually beneficial cooperation,” the people’s deputy claimed.    

Volodymyr Vecherko stressed that Ukraine and Indonesia are ready for cooperation in the sphere of education and science.

The participants of the meeting discussed possible ways of cooperation and expressed their interest in work on the joint projects.
