The bill (Reg. No. 3235) suggests allocate money received by the State Budget of Ukraine and local budgets from the fee on special use of water for water-protective measures (particularly, for clearing reservoirs and riverbeds, and maintaining them in proper conditions, filling low water regions with water, recovery of springs and riverheads), and also for funding projects on modernization and development of centralized water supply systems and sewage systems.

The people’s deputies claim that, since according to environmental monitoring and quality assessment, the majority of water objects are referred to “polluted” and “very polluted”, reallocation of funds for the development of water supply will even worsen situation.

The respective proposals were sent to the Committee on Budget.
