The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Chornobyl Aftermath Mitigation does not uphold the draft law on public control over land use and protection

The bill (Reg. No. 2484a) is aimed at improving legislative regulation of public control over land use and protection. The explanatory note states that the bill was elaborated due to the fact that public control is out of legal regulation and is not approved by the Regulations on public control inspectors stipulated by article 190 of the Land Code of Ukraine.    

According to the Committee members, improvement of the legislative regulation of public control over land use and protection should not be limited only by amendments to article 190 of the Land Code of Ukraine, it should be carried out systematically, according to all legislative acts that determine principles of public control organization in the respective field, starting with the Law “On Environmental Protection”.
