Representatives of opposition more often vote jointly with the faction of the Party of Regions, than the deputies of the Communist Party of Ukraine.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine Ihor Kalyetnik said this in the interview to the Information Agency “HolosUA”.

According to him, at present more than 1500 votes were carried out during almost three session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the seventh convocation.

“Of these 1500 votes, the Communist Party has voted jointly with the Party of Regions 640 times. The opposition has voted jointly with the Party of Regions 650 times,” he noted and added that the faction of the Communist Party of Ukraine has voted jointly with the opposition a little bit more than 200 times.

“These figures testify to the fact that at present the Communist Party does not choose its stand. The bills, it votes for are the pro-European bills, submitted by the opposition, the Party of Regions or by the Government,” said the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

He noted also that the main principle that governs the Communist Party of Ukraine is “our electoral program, following which, the Ukrainian citizens supported us. As of today, this is the basis for us”.
