Having discussed two bills, the Committee members claimed that both of them are aimed at solving the problem of a disrepair state of subscribers’ post office boxes and at ensuring safety of mailing items.
The bill (Reg. No. 2338) suggests establish that the local executive authorities and local self-government authorities within their powers “control over the repair and replacement of subscribers’ post office boxes carried out by economic entities that provide services for maintenance of houses, buildings and adjacent areas.”
The alternative bill (Reg. No. 2338-1) suggests introduce a complex approach to solving the problem of maintaining in good condition subscribers’ post office boxes and also introduce the responsibility for damaging the subscribers’ post office boxes.
Following the results of the discussion, the Committee members adopted the decision to recommend that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the bill Reg. No. 2338, and reject the bill Reg. No. 2338-1.
