The Committee for Informatization and Information Technologies recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis and in entirety the draft law on amendments to article 5 of the Law “On the radio frequency resource of Ukraine” (re categories of special users)

The bill (Reg. No. 2188a) suggests refer state enterprises and institutions, that belong to the sphere of central executive authority administration, which implements state policy in the area of space activity, to the category of special users of the radio frequency resource of Ukraine regarding the creation and operation of land and space radio-electronic equipment for control and analysis of the situation in space.

 

During the meeting, the managing director of the special program of State Space Agency, Yevhen Makhonin, delivered the speech regarding the bill.

       

The Chairman of the Committee, Valerii Omelchenko, claimed that adoption of this bill will give an opportunity to allocate a certain radio frequency bandwidth to the above-mentioned enterprises and institutions, it will also allow ensure by law an opportunity to develop perspective radar aids of control of the space that will settle the issues regarding the immediate detection and determination of trajectory parameters of space objects regardless of the time, weather and climate conditions.
