The bill aims at establishing the legal procedure of environmental impact evaluation, ensuring implementation of provisions of the Convention on the assessment of the environmental impact in a transboundary context (the Espoo Convention) and the Convention on access to information, participation in the process of making decisions and access to justice regarding environmental issues (the Aarhus Convention).
The bill also stipulates the procedures that specifically aim at ensuring implementation of the provisions of the Espoo Convention.
