The Committee on Public Health upholds bills on the use of revenues from increasing beer excise tax for construction of modern diagnostic and treatment complex of the National Children’s Specialized Hospital Okhmadyt

The bill (Reg. No. 2880) suggests amend articles 29 and 30 of the Budget Code of Ukraine and determine that 65% of revenues to the special excise tax fund of the State Budget of Ukraine from production and sale of beer in Ukraine shall be allocated to construction of hospitals and health care institutions, determined by the law on the State Budget of Ukraine.

The draft law on amendments to the Law “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2013” (re allocation of revenues from increasing beer excise tax for construction of modern diagnostic and treatment complex of the National Children’s Specialized Hospital Okhmadyt) suggests increase revenues and expenses of the special fund of the State Budget by UAH 2 billions and allocate additional revenues for financing of the budgetary program registered under code 3511090.       

The people’s deputies considered the fact that construction of modern medical and preventive center in the hospital is under construction.
