The Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the bill on reforming state and municipal print mass media

The document (No. 2600) was refined in the Committee, according to the decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on September 5, 2013.   

The bill suggests legislatively determine means of reforming print mass media and editorial offices.

The document suggests transform print mass media, established by central bodies of executive power, into official print publications.

Participants of discussion stressed that the bill determines overall aim of activity of the reformed state and communal mass media – to spread objective information for the benefit of Ukrainian citizens, as well as the rules of cooperation between state authority and local self-government.
