During the meeting, that took part at the request of the French Party, current political situation in Ukraine and the development of bilateral inter-parliamentary relations between Ukraine and the French Republic were discussed.
The Deputy Chairman of the Committee informed members of the delegation about consideration of a number of bills aimed at signing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.

Maurey said that "we wish the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement to be signed,
this will, in my opinion and in opinion of the majority of French parliament members, help strengthen the EU-Ukrainian cooperation."
The Chairman of the friendship group “France-Ukraine” drew attention to the development of close cooperation between our two peoples, which is still an important sphere of interest of French foreign policy, particularly, at the level of respective groups of inter-parliamentary liason.
At the end of the meeting, Herve Maurey thanked Volodymyr Polochaninov for the opportunity to hold the meeting and hoped to intensify bilateral cooperation between our two countries at the level of inter-parliamentary friendship group and the parliaments in general.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France in Ukraine Alain Remy also attended the meeting.
