The Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis and in entirety the resolution on Recommendations to parliamentary hearings on matters of children and youth recreation and rehabilitation

The Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Koshulynskyi was involved in the discussion of the document (Reg. No. 2084a). Particularly, he noted that he has thoroughly analyzed the text of Recommendations and shall make every effort to approve them in the Parliament, by adopting the respective bill. Thereat, R.Koshulynskyi noted that legislative initiatives, mentioned in the document should be elaborated and considered by the Verkhovna Rada even prior to adoption of Recommendations.   

Participants of discussion stressed that draft Recommendations consider and systematize the proposals of the people’s deputies of Ukraine, the central and local executive authorities, local self-government, trade union representatives, etc. that were voiced out during parliamentary hearings.   

Committee members noted that the draft resolution was already included into the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on July 3, 2013, but was not considered.  

The Minister of Social Policy Nataliya Korolevska, present at the meeting, noted that adoption of Recommendations shall refine normative and legal regulation of relations in the sphere of children and youth recreation and rehabilitation; strengthen control over children’s safety; promote adherence to sanatorium legislation in child recreation and rehabilitation institutions, etc.
