To the veterans of the Great Patriotic War,

citizens of Lysychansk city

of Luhansk Oblast

Dear friends!

I cordially congratulate you on the occasion of a memorable date – the 70th liberation anniversary of the city from fascist invaders during the Great Patriotic War.

This day is a good occasion to address the heroic past of Luhansk Oblast and pay tribute to all those who protected our native land.

We bow before the bright memory of military men of the 279th Lysychansk Red Banner Infantry Division who liberated the city. We show respect to veterans who glorified themselves by feats of arms in a violent fight against fascism, who bore the burdens of war and raised Lysychansk from the ruins.

Dear citizens of Lysychansk, the bright memory of the great feat of defenders of Homeland and of your native land is sacred and will forever remain in our hearts. Eternal glory to heroes who won in the Great Patriotic War in the name of future generations.

I wish you sound health, happiness, peace and well-being! I wish prosperity and welfare to Lysychansk!

Volodymyr RYBAK
