Inter-faction deputy union “Support to the Olympic Movement and Sports in Ukraine” was established in the Verkhovna Rada

Presentation of the inter-faction deputy union, presented by the co-chairmen of the union Artur Palatnyi (faction of the Political Party "UDAR"), Volodymyr Prodyvus (faction of the Party of Regions), Andriy Pavelko (faction of the All-Ukrainian Union "Batkivshchyna"), Oleksiy Kaida (faction of the All-Ukrainian Union “Svoboda), Oleksandr Prysiazhniuk (faction of the Communist Party of Ukraine) and member of the union Ihor Yankiv (faction of the All-Ukrainian Union “Svoboda), was held in the Olympic House on July 17.
Chairman of the Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism Artur Palatnyi informed that 128 people’s deputies from all parliamentary factions became members of the inert-faction deputy union.
“Development of physical training and sport is the easiest and most efficient way to bring up healthy children and young citizens. We must bring children back from the street to sport playgrounds and sections. First of all, we should support children's sport,” stressed A.Palatnyi.
“Alcohol and tobacco companies, making money by deteriorating citizens’ health, are obliged to charge an amount out of income for recovery of citizens’ health primarily by engaging people in physical training and sport,” noted the people’s deputy.
A.Palatnyi stressed that the established deputy union, in close cooperation with the National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, will be able to ensure implementation of complicated tasks connected with development of the Olympic movement and sport in our country.
The Youth and Sports Minister Ravil Safiullin and the President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Serhiy Bubka also participated in the presentation. They emphasized importance of establishing the inter-faction deputy union, which will promote further development of sports and Olympic movement, including regarding holding the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Ukraine.
