The bill (Reg. No. 2873) aims to ensure adequate representation of state’s interests in the courts by the State Ecological Inspectorate and its territorial bodies in the issues pertaining to damages and losses caused by violation of the requirements of environmental legislation and illegal exploitation of natural resources.
The bill suggests amend article 5 of the Law “On Court Fee” in the part of exempting the State Environmental Inspectorate and its territorial bodies from paying court fee in cases pertaining to powers of these bodies.
People’s deputies believe that the suggested amendments can decrease court repay expenses for administration of justice, which shall negatively affect the level of material and technical support of the activity of judges.
