Valentyn Zaichuk expressed his satisfaction with the results of the programme, as more than 100 interns from all Ukraine had a chance to gain certain experience during the work in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat, in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministries. He reminded that in the course of internship participants had a possibility to participate in developing bills, organization of hearings, meetings of structural subdivisions and round table discussions, learn regulations procedures, analyze state policy, meet with leading political and public figures. “Such internship is a good step in professional advancement, and I wish everybody who took part in training to realize their life plans,” the Secretary General of the Secretariate said, adding that he considers the Parliamentary Internship Programme to be “a good thing, because it is a kind of school for leaders, young politicians, and internship allows programme graduates to confidently pursue professional career or scientific activity.”
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Ukraine John Tefft also congratulated graduates of the Internship Programme, noticing that in his young years he also was an intern in the US Parliament, and it was a good school for his further career.
