The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Chornobyl Aftermath Mitigation recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the draft law on amendments to article 12 of the Law “On Environmental Audit” (re objects of increased environmental hazards)

The bill (Reg. No. 2053a) suggests establish environmental audit in case of liquidation or shut down of enterprises conducting environmentally hazardous activity. 

Committee members believe that implementation of bill provisions will promote protection of environment and rational use of natural resources; will ensure environmental safety of life-sustaining activity of a human and help reach harmonious cooperation of society and nature.
