The Committee on Judicial Policy concluded that the draft law on amendments to the Law “On Free Legal Assistance” (re the right to free secondary legal assistance for certain categories of people) does not contradict the provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine

The bill (Reg. No. 2522) suggests, under article 14 of the Law “On Free Legal Assistance”, include to the list of subjects of law for free secondary legal assistance parents and children form extended families, as well as people who independently bring up three an more children under 18 and determine types of legal services within free primary legal assistance to the abovementioned persons.
People’s deputies concluded that extension of the list of subjects of law for free secondary legal assistance, suggested by the bill, complies with the provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine.
