The Chairman of the Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism Artur Palatnyi awarded winners and prizewinners of the Open European Championships Mixed Martial Arts distinctions of the Committee

When awarding distinctions, A.Palatnyi apreciated “brilliant performance of Ukrainian sportsmen during the Open European Championships Mixed Martial Arts. “Despite lack of performance experience at the competitions of such level, Ukrainians won two golden and two bronze medals. Hard work of sportsmen and their coaches, self-discipline, absolute self-devotion and ability to give all the power to win have promoted these results,” he said.   

A.Palatnyi noted also that the Committee attaches great attention to development of physical training and sports and promotion of healthy life style of children and youth. “If youth sports schools and children’s centers worked efficiently, the number of homeless children would decrease, as well as the number of children consuming alcoholic beverages and narcotic drugs,” stressed the people’s deputy.    

Chairman of the Committee reassured Ukrainian Martial Arts sportsmen that the Committee “is ready to support young and prospective kind of sport” and wished them further sports achievements.
