Issue of using cultural heritage objects of Ukraine and Poland for the touristic purpose and their protection was discussed during the visiting session of the Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism jointly with the deputies of the Committee on Physical Education, Sport and Tourism of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland

The session took place in Ternopil Oblast. Ukrainian and Polish deputies visited historical and cultural sites in Zbarazh, Kremenets, Vyshnivets and Ternopil, got acquainted with activity of the National Sanctuary “Zamky Ternopillia”, where 27 architectural and urban planning sites are located, 10 of them are all-national.  

Members of the session give a hearing to the information of the Ternopil Oblast State Administration re development of tourism. Particularly it was noted that modern touristic policy is successfully realized in Ternopil Oblast, by means of delegating respective authorities to the bodies of local self-government, support of local initiatives on developing tourism, etc.      

A range of recommendations to the government of Ukraine were expressed during the discussion by the Committee members.  

People’s deputies also deem it expedient to recommend to the State Committee of Television and Radio Broadcasting, involving public organizations, charity funds to promote the creation of TV and radio broadcastings aimed at popularization of Ukrainian historical-cultural heritage, elucidation of regional historical, archeological, cultural peculiarities, and development of domestic tourism.
