The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Chornobyl Aftermath Mitigation does not uphold the draft law on amendments to several laws of Ukraine regarding stimulation of electric energy production out of alternative energy sources

The bill (Reg. No. 2946) aims at promoting practical implementation of the “green” tariff for electric power objects that produce electric energy out of alternative energy sources, particularly, biomass, biogas and domestic waste.  

People’s deputies made a number of remarks to the bill. In particular, they noted that the EU experience proves that solid domestic waste significantly pollutes environment.
