The Committee on Entrepreneurship, Regulatory and Antimonopoly Policy recommends that the Parliament should recommit the draft law “On amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine” (re protection of consumers’ rights on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea)

The bill (Reg. No. 2386) suggests amending the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements, the Economic Code of Ukraine, the laws “On Consumer Rights Protection”, “On Advertisement”, “On General Safety of Food Products”, “On preventive and reduction measures regarding alcohol and tobacco products consumption, as well as their negative effects on population health” and “On state market monitoring and control over non-food products” in order to determine the authorities of “bodies of executive power of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea” in the sphere of consumer rights protection.     

Committee members stressed that functions of the central body can be duplicated by local bodies, in case the law is adopted.
