The Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the bill on amendments to article 1 of the Law “On promotion of social formation and development of youth in Ukraine” (re types of ownership of youth work centers)

The bill (Reg. No. 2208) suggests determine that youth work centers are the specialized institutions either of state or municipal ownership (in the current version – “specialized state institutions) that are established in order to settle the issue of youth employment; youth leisure time jobs; and promote development of youth initiatives in the sphere of labour.

Adoption of a bill shall provide bodies of local self-government with the possibility to “create and finance youth work centers and thus help resolve the issue of youth employment in Ukraine”.
