The bill (Reg. No. 2298) is elaborated due to the requirements of the Law “On Space Activity”, according to which, “space activity in Ukraine is based on the (National) Space Program of Ukraine, which is being developed in five years and approved by the Parliament.”
The Program is aimed at increasing the efficiency of using space potential for solving topical problems of social and economic, environmental, cultural, informational, and scientific and technological development of the society, as well as ensuring national security and defense and protection of Ukraine’s geopolitical interests.
The Program enumerates ways and means for solving the problem and indicates the tasks and measures, their timeframes, amounts of financing, as well as main expected results of their realization.
