The bill (Reg. No. 2115) suggests:

1) counting the period of taking care to length of service of one of the unemployed able-bodied parents, but no longer than reaching the age of six by every child.

2) additionally and optionally exclude from the period for which wages are taken into account for calculating the pension the period of taking care for the child before reaching the age of six (amendments to article 40 of the Law “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance”).

The Committee members generally support a legislative proposal aimed at providing opportunities to increase the insurance period for parents and adoptive parents who are caring for young children up to the age of six years, which will increase the level of pensions and generally enhance the level of social protection.
