Ruslan Koshulynskyi: European integration remains the priority of the foreign policy of Ukraine

On Tuesday, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Koshulynskyi met with the delegation of the Committee on EU Matters of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic headed by the Chairman of the Committee Miroslav Krejci.

During the meeting, parliament members shared their experience of parliamentary system of their states and discussed the issue of legislation of Ukraine and the Czech Republic. In particular, Ruslan Koshulynskyi told his Czech colleagues about the proportional-majoritarian electoral system, under which the latter elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine were held. The Deputy Chairman noted both its positive and negative sides.  

Discussing the issue of European integration of Ukraine, Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament stressed that European integration remains the priority of the foreign policy of our state.

He noted also that Ukraine highly appreciates the support of the Euro-integrational aspirations of the Ukrainian State by the Czech Republic. “We consider our Czech friends as good assistants of our Euro-integrational aspirations,” said R.Koshulynskyi and expressed hope that bilateral cooperation in this direction shall further continue.
