The bill (Reg. No.2763) simplifies the procedure of access to the public information in ownership of the subjects of authority and other administrators. It shortens the period of granting such information to the citizens and journalists; regulates the system of payment for its obtainment; reinforces the penalties for non-observance of the norms established.

Adjusting the bill to the second reading, the Committee members received 14 motions from V.Yatsenko, Ombudsperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 7 of which were taken into account.

The People´s Deputies endorsed the provision that set the goal of the Law: to support transparency and openness of the authorities, and realize the universal right for access to the public information.
