The bill (Reg. No.7180) authorizes the Cabinet of Ministers to determine the strategic economic sectors, and ratify the sectoral reformation and development programs. It presents a new version of part 3 of clause 260 of the Economic Code as to the requirements for the classification of the economic sectors, and the list of the strategic economic sectors to be compiled by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The People´s Deputies believe that authorization of the Government "will become a successive step in the amending of legislation on the state property administration." Ratification of respective programs will streamline the organization of the public sector of economy, and complete a wide-scale privatization.
