The Committee on Industrial and Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship held a Round Table Discussion concerning Promotion of Sustainable Enhancement of Enterprises and Organizations

The participants of the meeting stressed the necessity to motivate the enterpsises and organization for a sustainable improvement. They called for setting up a working group to draft the bill on the state assistance to the business development.

 

N. Korolevska, Committee Chairperson, is convinced that "the problem of the production quality is one of the most essential and urgent problems of the world trade system, which is significant for the sustainable development of economy."

 

N. Korolevska also believes that the government shall form a sustainable legislative system "to make the present situation with ‘a shadow economy´ unprofitable and develop the strategy and development action plan for the corporative social liability in Ukraine."

 

The participants of the meeting deem necessary to define the principal vector of the system development. According to N. Korolevska, "the role of this vector should be given to the society of creation instead of the society of consumption and accumulation. The main principle of this strategy should be the increase of the competitive ability of the state economy, as the future of the state depends on it. If we fail to increase the competitive ability of the Ukrainian socio-economic sphere, we would face unenviable future of a purely raw-exports role of ‘a third world´ country in the center of Europe."

 

The fundamental criterion in this frame of reference, according to the speakers, is "a social orientation of the commercial companies, as the business shall meet the demands of the consumers, have an independent personnel and minimize the negative environmental influence. "

 

To support the development of the quality movement and business ideals in our state, the participants of the round table discussion suggested adopting the Law "On the Fundamental Principles of the State Assistance, and Development of the Movement for the Business Quality and Ideals." "It declares that the state facilitates involvement of the enterprises in the process of a sustainable improvement of the quality of goods and services, and assists the business activity of the trade unions in Ukraine to follow the movement for the quality and perfection."
