The bill (Reg. No.7010) amends and supplements several legislative acts of Ukraine to implement clause 7 of the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings signed by Ukraine on 17 November 2005.

Amendments to the legislation of Ukraine state that before the international transportation, the carriers shall check whether the passengers have the documents required to enter the state of destination.

The Committee members emphasised that the bill strengthens the carriers´ responsibility, as it introduces extra sanctions for the non-fulfilment or improper fulfillment of the indicated obligation that resulted in transportation or an attempt to transport a passenger without the required documents across the state border of Ukraine.
