Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, sent the Telegram of Condolence to the Relatives of Viktor Stepanovych Chernomyrdin

Volodymyr Lytvyn conveys sincere condolences in connection with an irrevocable loss.

 

The telegram reads that a prominent statesman, public figure and politician, a talented and charismatic person, a close friend of the Ukrainian nation has passed away.

 

The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stresses that the whole life of Viktor Chernomyrdin is an example of devoted service to the Motherland and his fellow citizens. At the turn of the 80´s and 90´s, he witnessed and participated in the historic transformations in his country. Strong-willed, he assumed the responsibility for the future of Russia and its people. His work is exemplified by truly great deeds confirming this statement. He was one of the originators of Gazprom state concern, headed the Russian Government, and worked in the diplomatic corps.

 

Volodymyr Lytvyn emphasizes that our country will always gratefully remember the work of Viktor Stepanovych Chernomyrdin in the office of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Ukraine. He has always fostered friendly, mutually beneficial relations between our countries and brotherly nations.

 

The telegram also reads that the bright trace of life of Viktor Stepanovych Chernomyrdin will remain in our souls and hearts for ever.
