The bill (Reg. No.4116) amends item 3 of clause 1 of the Law "On State Regulation of Extraction, Production and Use of Precious Metals and Precious Stones, and Control over their Processing", excluding amber from the list of organogenic precious stones, and alleviating the procedure of getting special permits for extraction and processing of amber.

The Committee members believe that adoption of the bill "will result in the uncontrolled exploitation of amber fields and growth of injury risks."
