The Committee on Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship recommends the Parliament to adopt the Bill "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine" (re Standardization and Compulsory Certification)

 N. Korolevska, People´s Deputy of Ukraine and author of the bill, declared that the bill (Reg. No.7064) harmonized the legislative acts on technical regulation with the requirements of the World Trade Organization and the European Union Directives that envisaged separation of the technical regulation system from the state regulation and supervision over the safety and quality of food stuffs and rejection of the products register subject to the compulsory certification.

 

The bill amends the Laws on standardization and certification, abolishing obligatoriness of standards; compulsory certification of certain services and goods; obligatoriness of indication of the normative document regulating the national production on the product title.

 

Furthermore, the bill authorizes the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to adopt the register of goods subject to compulsory certification.
