Mykola Tomenko: Visa-Free Entry to Bulgaria is a Significant Symbol of Relations between Ukraine and Bulgaria

"Visa-free entry to Bulgaria is a significant symbol of relations between Ukraine and Bulgaria," Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stated in the city of Plovdiv (Bulgaria), meeting the city leaders.

The Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated that the number of Ukrainian visitors to Bulgaria has considerably increased owing to the alleviation of the visa regime. He declared that apart from the traditional resorts, the city of Plovdiv is one of the best prepared for tourism. He considers the experience in revival of the ancient Plovdiv to be useful for Ukraine.

Mykola Tomenko called for giving impetus to the cancellation of the visa entry for Ukrainians visiting Bulgaria. "As soon as we do this, two problems will be settled: the number of Ukrainians coming to Bulgaria will grow, which will foster the relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Bulgaria," the Deputy Chairman stressed.
