The bill (Reg. No. 6358), submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers, harmonizes the national legislation on implementation of resolutions of the European Court of Human Rights, and practice of their application, with the practice of the Court in ratification of the unilateral declaration of Ukraine.

To enhance the work of the national representative office in charge of Ukraine´s representation in the European Court, the period of implementing the resolutions of the European Court is prolonged from three to ten days.

The Committee members believe that adoption of the bill will harmonize the applicable legislation of Ukraine with the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, enhance the order of implementing the European Court resolutions, and settle the issues by fulfillment of the effective Law "On Implementation of Resolutions of the European Court of Human Rights, and Practice of their Application."
