The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends The Verkhovna Rada to adopt the Bill on Amendments to several Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Registration of Parolees, and Parole Supervision

The bill (Reg. No.7012), submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, amends the Criminal-Executive Code and the Law "On State Criminal-Executive Inspectorate of Ukraine", stating the following: the criminal-executive inspectorate resigned the delegated functions concerning registration of parolees and parole supervision.

 

The bill preserves the effective registration of parolees, and parole supervision, prevents restriction of rights and freedoms of these individuals, and avoids extra budget expenses.

The Committee members are convinced that the amendments to the legislative acts are justified as under the Laws "On the Police" and "On Administrative Supervision over the Individuals Dismissed from Prison Confinement", the law enforcement agencies are in charge of registration of parolees, and parole supervision.
