Volodymyr Lytvyn: The Draft Tax Code is the Key Issue to be scrutinized the Coming Plenary Week

The situation in The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine remains stable despite its complexity, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated, meeting the journalists in Kosheliove village of Khust district during his working visit to Zakarpattia region.

However, V.Lytvyn called for arranging a working environment. He stressed that the draft tax code would be the key issue to be scrutinized the coming plenary week. "It is an utterly complicated and responsible issue arousing controversial viewpoints," the Head of the Parliament stated.

This issue covers the prohibition of the used clothing sale, increase of pensions, and retirement age. Asked about his stand as regards closure of the used clothing stores, the Head of the Parliament stated: "Everything can not be prohibited at once; it should be realized gradually to prevent smuggling."

He singled out the draft State Budget for 2011 as another important issue to be considered by the Parliament. On the whole, more than 90 issues shall be scrutinized the coming plenary week of 2-5 November.

In Kosheliov village, V.Lytvyn attended the opening of the stadium, met the local residents and answered their questions. Children from four villages attend the local school, so the road conditions and development of the social infrastructure are the pressing matters of the locality.

The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine visited Konyk farming enterprise that grows quality varieties of apples of domestic and foreign selection. Meeting the managers of the farming enterprise, V.Lytvyn discussed the issues of the agricultural producers.  

The Head of the Parliament also met the residents of Yablunivka and Monastyrets villages of Khust district, and gave an interview to Uzhhorod radio.
