The Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Safety recommends the Parliament to adopt the Bill on Amendments to several Legislative Acts of Ukraine (re Social Security of the Personnel of the Coal-Mining Enterprises)

The bill (Reg. No.6437-1) specifies the privileges for the retired miners, pensioners and their family members regarding free supply of coal or compensation for the heat, electrical energy and gas supply.

 

The document guarantees the right for a free supply of coal for the domestic needs of families of pensioners or people with disabilities who died of common illnesses (and who had the above-mentioned privilege), and also for the individuals receiving pension in connection with the loss of a breadwinner.

 

The Committee members believe that adjusting the bill for the second reading, some principles of the bill on amendments to clause 48 of the Law on Mining in Ukraine (re social guarantees for the mining enterprises specialists) (Reg. No.6437) should be taken into account.
