The bill (Reg. No.6669) suggests adopting a new version of the Law "On State Register of Voters", the subject of which is regulation of legal and organization principles of formation and compilation of the State Register of Voters of Ukraine.

The bill presupposes that a place of voting can be temporarily changed (for the period of elections or referendum), provided the voter has a valid reason for his incapability to vote at his polling station without the change of the address.

The bill defines the term ‘a polling address´, esp. for a voter without a registered place of residence; a military servant; a voter who is serving a sentence; a voter who resides or is staying abroad.

Adjusting the bill for the second reading, the Committee processed 87 amendments and proposals submitted by the People´s Deputies of Ukraine, 47 being taken into account, several of them being considered partially.
