Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, calls on the Specialized Parliamentary Committee and the Government to draft a Joint Resolution on Adoption of the Draft Tax Code in the First Reading
On Tuesday, Volodymyr Lytvyn,
Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, delivered a speech at the
extended session of the Committee on Economic Reforms under the chairmanship of
Viktor Yanukovych, President of Ukraine. V.Lytvyn recommended that the
parliamentary Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy and the economic bloc of
the Government drafted a resolution on adoption of the Tax Code in the first
reading.
The Head of the Parliament calls for avoiding ‘debatable and doubtful issues´, so that the Parliament ‘did not face several thousand amendments and remarks concerning this draft.´
"No one is completely satisfied, but it is necessary to adopt the law and move on," he stressed.
V.Lytvyn supported the intention of the President of Ukraine to reduce the number of deputy ministers and deputy heads of the regional state administrations. He called for strengthening the responsibility of departmental officials, because ‘the country must work.´
The Head of the Parliament deems necessary to form the social atmosphere to encourage responsibility and thorough work, as well as development of civic society institutes to control the authorities.
