The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends that The Verkhovna Rada adopts the Bill on Amendments to several Legislative Acts of Ukraine (re Competence of the Law Enforcement Bodies in the Protection of Submarine Cultural and Archeological Heritage)

The bill (Reg. No. 6604) authorizes the State Border Service of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine to protect submarine cultural and archeological heritage to prevent misappropriation, destruction and illegal relocation of the cultural heritage objects.  

 

The Committee members endorse the bill, as its adoption will support protection of the cultural heritage of Ukraine, and arrange favourable conditions for suspension of legislative infringements in the sector of cultural heritage protection.
