The bill (Reg. No. 6591) amends the Civil Procedural Code of Ukraine and the Laws "On the International Private Law", "On the International Commercial Arbitration", and "On the Legal Succession of Ukraine" to protect the property and non-property interests of Ukraine, its territorial communities and individuals in the international disputes.

The Committee concluded that the suggested amendments abolish the right of the legal parties to choose the court´s power in the legal actions, where the State of Ukraine acts as a party. The amendments also determine the jurisdiction of such legal actions to the law of Ukraine. The Committee members stated that several provisions of the bill contravened the constitutional and legislative requirements of Ukraine.

The Committee members believe that adoption of the bill will bear negative influence on the state of protection of property rights of both individuals and legal entities, and the state.
